1. Acceptance

By using Right Choice (the website at this domain and the browser extension), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Right Choice does

Right Choice helps you understand the estimated carbon footprint of products. We provide CO₂e scores derived from two sources:

• Verified scores — read directly from Footprint Protocol (fp:) meta tags published by the seller.
• Estimated scores — computed using our three-tier estimation protocol based on publicly available emission factors (ecoinvent, Higg MSI, US EPA USEEIO). These are approximations, not certified measurements.

3. Affiliate links disclosure

Some product links on Right Choice — including links in the browser extension banner and catalogue — may be affiliate links. This means we may earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase, at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our carbon scores or the order of recommendations. Products are ranked solely by their CO₂e footprint.

4. No warranty on scores

Carbon footprint data is inherently uncertain. Estimated scores are provided for informational and comparative purposes only. Right Choice makes no warranty that any score is accurate, complete, or suitable for regulatory or purchasing decisions. Always consult certified lifecycle assessment data for critical decisions.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Right Choice to scrape data at scale, reverse-engineer our estimation algorithms for commercial resale, or misrepresent our scores as certified assessments.

6. Limitation of liability

Right Choice is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of or reliance on our carbon scores or product recommendations.

7. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Right Choice after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
